Why is membership important for Climb?
If you become a member of Climb you will receive Climb Update, our well respected magazine published three times a year in April, August and December, our interdependent news sheets, usually two per year in January and late August, free entry to Climb Conference places (we may ask for a contribution towards refreshment costs) a 10% reduction on all Climb merchandise, unlimited access to Climb Family Services and Climb disease information, access to the Climb forums and local Befrienders and the knowledge that you are helping to support a unique and valuable organisation that campaigns on behalf of rare diseases at local, national and international levels as well as supporting families and funding much-needed and essential research into metabolic disease.
Why is membership important for Climb? Climb's members are valuable to the charity. Membership helps us to plan ahead by providing Climb with a regular income. Members also add to Climb's credibility as an organisation, especially when lobbying for change with government at local, national and international (European) levels. Climb's campaigns have helped with the introduction of the European Orphan Drug Regulation, the creation of a best-practice guide for patient help-lines and support for the Homes Fit for Children campaign. Climb has also joined the campaign for a national framework of specialist services for metabolic diseases to ensure equality of services across the UK and to help eliminate the inevitable post code prescribing that currently exists.
Adult membership of Climb is £24 per year for an individual membership. Other membership rates are as follows:
Associate Membership £12 per year Family (2 adults and all children at one address) £36 per year Professional £45 per year Life £500 one-off payment.
