"I have no one else to talk to about this
and could not do without you- I’m so
grateful that I can phone when at my
lowest and feel I have to be
strong for the rest of the family”
The Family Services team are here to
offer support, information and advice, to all people dealing with metabolic
conditions, whether you are affected yourself, a parent/carer, a healthcare
professional or someone who just wants to know more , we remain here to
offer support with all area’s of metabolic conditions.
Over the last 25 years we have gained
vast experience and knowledge of the complex needs of those affected, as
well as gaining worldwide links with specialists in this area. Many of these
condition’s are extremely rare and very little is known about them. For
families diagnosed it can be a very isolating and frightening experience,
with many new hurdles to face often with little information about what the
future will hold. Our hope is that through ongoing research as well as
offering continued support we can work alongside families and individuals
each step of the way, easing isolation, sharing knowledge and raising
awareness.
