Alex Goodridge

Alex was a special little boy who passed away from Leighs Disease in 2005 just before his 3rd birthday.  Alex loved to watch Bear in the Big Blue House and Nemo, he loved music (Chesney Hawkes being his favourite!) and being pushed on his bike.  His favourite hobby though was throwing toy bricks (well almost anything) he was really good at that.  He also loved to feed the ducks at the local lake.  Once he became ill he loved to cuddle up and be read stories and managed to light up the room with his eyes even then.

Every day we miss him but continue to live our lives influenced by the lessons he taught us in such a short time.  Our lives are sadder for having lost him but also happier and more fulfilled because of him.

As a family it is hard to describe the support that Climb has been to us and still are.  They provide us with the knowledge that there are people and other families that understand how we feel and cope with all the things that come with caring for and losing a sick child.  This Tribute Fund is not only our way of remembering Alex but also of saying ‘Thank you’ to Climb and remembering the other families that are affected by these conditions too.

We love and miss you Alex.

Mummy, Daddy and Zach XXXXXXX

I love you Alex from your little brother Zach XXXXXXXXXX
