Newborn Screening in Wales update

The latest information we have is that  the Local Health Boards in Wales 

have been asked by the Welsh Assembly Government to work collectively

through the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee (WHSSC) to

work with Public Health Wales to establish a sustainable and safe national

newborn bloodspot screening programme including the introduction of Sickle

Cell and MCADD tests during the period 2011-12.
